What is Feng Shui Source, and why do we create it?

For a long time, both within and outside of China, there have been so-called "Feng Shui masters" who sell unconsecrated jewelry and decorative objects as if they have been properly consecrated. As there is no visual difference between the two, many people pay a higher price for an item that provides little to no effect.

Feng Shui Source is dedicated to providing genuinely consecrated jewelry, decorative pieces, and other Feng Shui accessories and products. The majority of our products are consecrated by eminent Buddhist masters at the Longhua Temple in Shanghai, China, while others are consecrated in other temples throughout China. The spiritual blessing of the consecration ceremony allows these items to be blessed and imbues them with a sacred spirituality, enabling them to play a greater role in your life.

What is 'kai guang' (a spiritual activation ritual), and why is it necessary for Feng Shui items?

According to Feng Shui theory, unconsecrated items are merely decorative crafts. They possess a symbolic form but lack the spiritual essence ("spirit") needed to influence one's energy and fortune.

The 'kai guang' consecration ritual has three main purposes:

  1. Purify & Activate: To cleanse the item of past negative energies and open its connection to universal energy.
  2. Infuse Power: To fill the object with positive spiritual energy and consciousness through sacred rituals.
  3. Create a Bond: To establish a spiritual connection between the item and its owner so it can "recognize its master," offering protection and support.

Process for Consecrating a Functional or Spatial Item

This ritual transforms an object into an energized tool designed to serve a specific space or purpose.

  1. Preparation: An auspicious time is chosen. The object is respectfully placed on an altar arranged with offerings like incense, flowers, and fruit.
  2. Purification: The ceremony begins with chanting. The master purifies the object, typically using blessed water or incense smoke, to cleanse it of all lingering negative energies and return it to a pure state.
  3. Energy Infusion: The master invokes divine energies relevant to the item's purpose (e.g., wealth deities for a money-attracting item). Through rituals, mantras, and symbolic gestures, potent positive energy is channeled and infused into the object.
  4. Assigning the Mission: This is the key step. The master gives the object a direct command, assigning its specific function. For example: "Guard this office and attract prosperity," or "Protect this home by repelling all negative energy."
  5. Sealing and Completion: The infused energy and the commanded mission are "sealed" within the object with a final mantra or gesture. This ensures its power is stable and long-lasting. The ritual is then complete.
